Our client, a high profile family residing in the metro Detroit area, is seeking an experienced Estate Manager to manage their primary home in suburban Detroit, MI and coordinate with a management company handling their out of state residences (FL, Aspen, CA).
The Estate Manager will supervise staff including a Chef and Housekeepers, manage service personnel and contractors, organize special events, approve invoices, correspond with office staff, purchase supplies including via internet, run errands, etc.. Excellent computer skills and internet research and shopping expertise are all required. The family enjoys their privacy and as a result, the Estate Manager will not be expected to be at the residence evenings and weekends on a regular basis and may be asked to work from home occasionally rather than in the home. Occasional travel to other residences may be required.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Personal Assistant to a top Executive prior to becoming an Estate Manager even though the Principal does have an Executive/Personal Assistant at the office. A Private Chef who has progressed into an Estate Manager role may also be considered.
Those with ties to Michigan are strongly preferred. Please state in your cover letter whether or not you have a specific desire to relocate to Michigan for reasons other than a great career opportunity.
Excellent salary and benefits commensurate with experience. This is a live-out position. Only non-smokers who are dog friendly will be considered.
