The Center for Information Technology Programmer/Analyst of the Computer Center will report to the Director/Computer Center. As a system programmer in this department, the successful candidate will install, customize, and maintain the operating system, and also install or upgrade products that run on the system. Specifically, this position will plan, design and implement new systems and changes to the existing system processing to support management control and decision making activities primarily with the administrative operations of the campus departments and academic offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages day-to-day IT operations to
include:
Storage, Email, Active Directory,
Certificates,
and Back-Ups
Collaborates closely with other CIT team professionals and
support
end users in order to provide a system that's compatible with current or new specific hardware and applications?
Prepare and present technology initiatives
and reports findings to senior management
Manage?servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment for Solaris?environment.
Develop?and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for?architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and?service provision.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
Bachelors’
degree
in Computer Science or?equivalent level of training and experience.

5-7
years
of
management?experience and supervision and ability to provide leadership to technical staff in a matrixed environment
; able to lead complex projects
Strong working knowledge of programming?analysis, systems design, database design, data communication, network?concepts and multiplatform operating systems.
Working Knowledge in Windows 2003/2008, XP/7 desktop operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange
2010,VMware
/vSphere and SAN and NAS solutions
Desired Technical and Soft Skills:
Experience in higher education and?administrative systems required; Experience in Ellucian’s Banner?system is a plus
