This involves oversight of hourly employees covering RNG sites in Orleans, Morenci, Harford, Greenville, and Coopersville, MI. The projects consist of anaerobic digestors and associated gas purification skids. The digestors are loaded by farmers utilizing dairy waste from dairy cows across the locations. NAES operates and maintains the digestors as well as the state of the art purification and conditioning systems to convert that waste into renewable natural gas.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThe Area Manager works under the general direction of the Operations Director and performs leadership duties that will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of the project.u0026nbsp; Performs all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to operations, safety, conduct, and housekeeping.u0026nbsp; Protects the Owneru0026rsquo;s investment in machinery, equipment and facilities by exercising care, skill and knowledge.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePRIMARY FUNCTIONSu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eOversight of all hourly personnel conducting theu0026nbsp;monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and control of all project equipment to ensure safe, compliant, continuous and efficient operation. Manage the day-to-day workload of Process Operators and guide their technical and professional development.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eConduct periodic review of project policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current project goals, operating requirements and the industryu0026rsquo;s best in classu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eMotivate, direct and supervise personnel to effectively and efficiently accomplish their assigned duties through performance appraisals, reward, discipline, and management skillsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eImprove techniques and methods of process control that will increase operational efficienciesu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eRecord and analyze statistical data concerning operations to ensure that the facilities are running as specifiedu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDevelop and maintain the long-range maintenance plans and utilize an organized method of planning day-to-day activities, including weekly and monthly plansu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDelegate projects and tasks to project employees to ensure an acceptable backlog of work orders, work is properly distributed, and all personnel are being exposed to the various functions within the project thus promoting the experience level of the staffu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eTroubleshoot failures and malfunctions to determine the root cause and maintain, operate, repair and replace equipment as necessaryu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eMonitor and optimize project performance. This should include periodic testing, evaluations, and recommendations to the owner for improvement projects with cost justifications. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.).
