The Director of Performance Measurement leads the deployment AARP's performance measurement system, which includes goal setting, data collection and results sharing for but not limited to AARP's Enterprise Dashboard and related key performance indicators. This role also provides oversight over a matrixed team in the development of AARP's multi-year membership outlook and reports to the SVP of Performance Measurement and Business Analysis.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the deployment and optimization of the organization's performance measurement system; this is inclusive of assisting with the alignment of the organization's strategic plan to optimal measures of success (ranging from business unit key performance indicators up to enterprise-level dashboard measures).
Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders to optimize membership growth and oversee the development of annual and intra-year outlooks/forecasts; inclusive of goal setting of key performance indicators within the membership life cycle.
Build, maintain and optimize reporting and analysis tools for measurement of key stages within the membership life cycle as well as other key processes as necessary.
Partnering with stakeholders, offer expert advice on how to maximize enterprise performance measurement and the use of data to achieve organizational objectives.
Conduct performance reviews with key stakeholders (Executive and Leadership Teams, etc.).
Collaborate with key stakeholders to benchmark performance of key processes vs. external comparisons.
Assist with the development of analysis and content for the organization's monthly flash report; inclusive of tracking of key performance indicators as well as summarizing performance, highlighting risks or opportunities and providing actionable insights.
Manage and develop a team of performance measurement professionals, integrating best practices and latest techniques into organizational processes.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree (business or economics preferred); MBA a plus.
10 years of experience working in data analytics or analytical capacity linking strategy to measurement; experience with the theory of change methodology is a plus.
Prior experience implementing a performance measurement system.
Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate highly complex findings; familiarity with distilling research findings (primary and secondary sources; qualitative and quantitative).
Strong project management skills with an ability to coordinate across various groups and be proficient at managing multiple projects.
Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Telework and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
