The Associate Director, Discovery Project Leader
is accountable for driving the evaluation of potential new prophylactic and therapeutic vaccine targets, for addressing scientific knowledge gaps through a research program in order to substantially de-risk later investment and for delivering promising candidates to the development stage. The Associate Discovery Project leader is accountable to address specific research needs within life cycle management of existing assets.

Accountable for delivering new projects to the development pipeline
Accountable for delivering new solutions to support life cycle of existing assets
Lead one or more matrix cross-functional teams to evaluate medical need, value proposition and scientific and clinical feasibility and to design and execute a research program to address key scientific knowledge gaps
Produce Go/No-go recommendations on Discovery programs to governing bodies
Ensure high-quality scientific strategy from inception to entry into clinical development, in collaboration with matrix team members
Establish key external collaborations to enhance the quality of the programs in partnership with External R&D and BD
Apply rigor and discipline to develop and implement harmonized processes and to ensure knowledge management of evaluation content and decisions
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
PhD OR MD OR DVM and postdoctoral training
3 plus years of Industry or Postdoctoral experience in Vaccinology OR Infectious Diseases Or Immunology
Project Management Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
5 plus years of experience in the vaccines field
Project Management Experience particularly in a matrix environment & deep scientific expertise, oral and written communication, influencing skills
Capability to lead projects and to impact and influence team members in the absence of direct reporting lines
Proactive, creative and innovative mindset.
Sound knowledge of the vaccines business
Flexible thinking, open mindedness, resilient, decisive and willing to take some level of risk
