Minimum Qualifications
One year of trade experience subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience such as that required for a Carpenter, Construction Equipment Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Equipment Mechanic, General Mechanic, Grounds Construction Supervisor, Locksmith, Machinist, Mason and Plasterer, Motor Equipment Mechanic, Painter, Plumber and Steamfitter, Refrigeration Mechanic, Roofer and Tinsmith, or Welder.
Note: Mandatory overtime (MOT) is a requirement of this position. Chosen candidate(s) will be added to the mandatory overtime roster, which is utilized on a rotating basis. The MOT is applied during times of emergency, when all other staffing options have been exhausted (volunteers, hourly staff, contracted staff). Our Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs) operate 24/7/365 programing. Therefore, MOT IS an essential function of this position and is critical to maintaining adequate staffing at all times in order to ensure the health and safety of clients within the facility.
Duties Description
The Maintenance Supervisor 1 is responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the various building systems, including: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical and sanitary systems. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the oversight of routine maintenance of the building, including but not limited to:
· Cleaning, routine repairs and snow removal.
· Ensure safety of the building from fire, flood and other hazards, etc.
· Provide supervision to various facility employees and contractors where appropriate.
· May meet with contractors, engineers and consultants to insure conformance with project specifications and NYS contractual standards.
· Prepare pertinent records and reports as required.
· Performs other job related duties as needed.
· Incumbent may be required to work overtime shifts periodically as needed.

Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with the applicable provisions of State and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information, and may be required to pay any necessary fees. 3) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
