SAIC has a potential opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager SOCOM Logistics
to support the Army's Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities and Sustainment (ALECS) contract.
This work is contingent based on contract award which is expected in March 2022.
**The Deputy Project Manager shall reside in CONUS within 50 miles of a facility capable of transmitting and receiving SIPRNET e-mail communications and conducting work at the Secret level. This position requires significant OCONUS Long-Distance Travel.**
The Deputy Program Manager
provides project leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to SOCOM’s related task(s) including:
Assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising on-going technical efforts, and managing the project performance.
Ensuring quality and efficiency of the project performance, to include both technical issues and businesses processes.
Participating in the Planning and Execution of the sustainment of Combined Joint Special Operations Taskforces and working with combined U.S. and International teams.
Providing key input and direction in planning, developing and implementing the program baseline.
Identifying key resources to manage and execute to the program baseline.
Identifying and analyzing moderate variances, and defines corrective actions.
Responsible for a task or project when it is part of a larger program reporting to another Program Manager; or responsible for overall execution as the sole PgM for a Category 2 program, Category 3 program(s) with domestic funding, or a Category 3 program(s) with international funding.
Managing large size program staff that includes subcontractors or suppliers and task or project leads and leading internal cross-functional team.
Using standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, or tools that require program-specific modifications along with developing some program specific processes, procedures, techniques or tools.
Assisting in screening and interviewing potential hires.
Providing input to MS on performance reviews, compensation-related actions, and staffing and hiring recommendations.
Resolving moderate personnel issues in coordination with Management, Human Resources, and Program Oversight.
Contributing to a strategic BD plan to protect current program and expand account offerings.
Providing significant elements of re-compete capture strategy.
May serve as Capture Manager to expand current account offerings.
Identifying potential buying agents for growth beyond current account.
Identifying opportunity and account buying influences.
Recommending opportunities for investment by leveraging repeatable and differentiated offerings and capabilities.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
***This position REQUIRES U.S. citizenship and, at minimum, an active DoD secret-level clearance. All candidates without an active clearance will be immediately disqualified.***
It is required
that the Deputy Program Manager possesses the following (No substitutions will be considered):
Bachelors Degree and at least eight (8) years or more of related experience
At least three years experience managing projects with multiple performance locations both CONUS and OCONUS including support to combat operations.
A minimum of five years of experience with the Special Operations logistics and maintenance similar in scope and complexity to the SOCOM requirements of this TO.
Extensive Logistics Experience
Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
A preferred
candidate will have the following skills, qualifications, and/or experience:
Current PMI PgMP, PMI PMP or DAWIA Level III Program Management Level III certification.
Experience coordinating and managing the contractor’s proposed methodologies and approach for a project similar in size, scope, and complexity to SOCOM projects of this TO.
This includes, but is not limited to, managing multiple places of performance worldwide and a dispersed workforce, and frequent procurement of materials and equipment.
