Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Equal Opportunity (the Director), the OEO Project Manager is responsible for managing the CSU Executive Order 1096/1097 sexual misconduct hearing process. Duties include, but are not limited to: managing administrative support staff/MPP volunteers, scheduling hearings; notifying witnesses of the hearing; ensuring that the Hearing Officer is provided with appropriate materials including a copy of the report and any exhibits; coordinating videoconferencing (if necessary); securing a location for the hearing. The OEO Project Manager will also act as liaison between the Parties and the Hearing Officer on procedural matters; attend hearing and provide feedback to the Hearing Officer, Director, and/or Associate Director.
The OEO Project Manager also is responsible for conducting CSU Executive Order 1096/1097 complaint intake Interviews. Duties include, but not limited to, meeting with both parties and explaining the investigation process and timelines, informing the parties of their rights and options, discussing interim remedies as appropriate, and assisting the Director (or Associate Director in the Director's absence) in determining whether to accept a complaint for investigation.
The OEO Project Manager also is responsible for the development and delivery of OEO trainings (discrimination, Harassment, sexual misconduct, ADA reasonable accommodation process, etc.) and presentations across campus. The incumbent will develop, deliver, and support thee appropriate delivery of learning and professional development curricula that complies with CSU Executive Order 1095's Training, Education, and Prevention mandate.
This position has management authority, and freedom to act within the scope of authority associated with the responsibilities of the position. There is a high level of accountability for most actions taken by this position; to the Campus community (faculty, staff, students, and third parties), Director of OEO, Associate Director of OEO, VP of Inclusive Excellence, and other campus leaders. There is a high level of risk associated with most matters handled by this position, such that appropriate decisions about the risks involved minimize both liability and costs of the University. There is a high level of interpersonal interactions with members of the campus community and others: complainants, respondents, students, employees, committees, administrators, the Chancellor's Office, members of the public, parents, government agencies, etc. Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills are essential to the successful performance of the position's responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including being a good listener) to interact and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
Advanced time management and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced organization with competing priorities and distractions.
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, analytical, research, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to build effective teams through goal setting, defining responsibilities, empowering team members, providing feedback, and adhering to deadlines.
Strong negotiating skills to settle issues and maintain harmony in the team.

Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and education laws and regulation.
Working knowledge of and ability to operate standard office equipment and technology including, but not limited to desktop computer, laptop, copier, fax machine, scanner, and printer.
Demonstrated proficiency in ability to effectively use common computer and technology programs and related computer software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, etc.) in the course of assigned duties.
