DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Profile

The Director of Operations will lead a modern workforce of 55 to 100 employees in a state of the art aerospace component factory. The position has direct responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing process and has access to real-time machine monitoring and machine metrics to aid them in their job. The facilities list includes over 60 machine centers, heat treating, brazing, EDM, robotic manufacturing and finishing. The employee base that the candidate will be leading is comprised of professional, well-paid, modern machinists, quality technicians and finishers. Our company specializes in tight tolerance aerospace parts and assemblies and is also heavily involved in automation and collaborative robots.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven history of successful management of facilities and direct workforce required
Familiarity with machine tools: lathes, mills, grinders and related processes preferred
Knowledge of AS9100 standards and modern quality metrics preferred
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar preferred
