Job Description
Reporting to the Group Head, Middle Market West Enterprise Payments, the Group Head for Washington and Oregon will lead and manage a team of Payments Advisors and client managers focused on growing the Middle Market commercial payments business for Washington and Oregon, two of the largest markets in our West Region. The leader will also supporting the bank\'s broader enterprise payments growth agenda, including strategic go-to-market initiatives that will accelerate growth in payments revenue.
This executive will own the P&L and create/drive go-to-market strategies for the region. S/he will refine the line of business (LOB) engagement model, provide critical sales and escalation support, manage the delivery of \60 commercial payments products (i.e., treasury services, cash management services, merchant services, card services, and liquidity solutions), and build key strategic partnerships (with fintechs and technology players) - to drive new client acquisition and cross/upsell efforts, and to ensure client retention.
There is some flexibility regarding where the role can be based; preferred locations are Seattle, WA and Portland, OR.
Key priorities for this role include:
Develop client-centric, innovation focused go-to-market strategies to accelerate growth
In conjunction with Enterprise Payments and LOB leadership, develop and execute a high impact market plan and client-driven strategies. The market plan will align with the business strategy and will focus on developing and deepening client relationships, utilizing a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
Actively manage all disciplines within the sales management process, including pipeline management, calling activity, pricing strategy, solution and pitch development, goal attainment, relationship reviews and relationship referrals.
Differentiate KeyBank to clients by providing innovative, comprehensive solutions, based on an intimate knowledge of the industry and the marketplace (in particular, expertise in Middle Market industries and emerging payments solutions); leverage market knowledge to contribute to Key\'s product strategies.
Create an agile operating model focused on client centricity and innovation; identify areas in need of change to drive business results. Isolate and address internal obstacles and/or service issues, and ensure seamless execution.
Actively conduct in-person and/or joint client calls with team members; assist in providing strategic and tactical direction in closing critical deals. Cultivate close C-level relationships with highest value clients in the portfolio.
Carefully manage risk around clients and prospects, in line with established standards.
Identify, lead, and participate in strategic partnerships to develop new revenue streams, growth opportunities, and efficiencies.
Continue to build Key\'s profile in the market/across industries by actively participating in relevant industry trade groups and forums.
Develop KPIs, dashboards and reporting to inform sales forecasting, strategic/operational planning, and regular performance management reviews.
Ensure cross-functional collaboration and consistent communications to align priorities
Collaborate with leaders and employees across Key, including in the Community Bank, Corporate Bank, Technology and Operations, Risk Management, and within Enterprise Payments (in particular, Product and Innovation, Client Onboarding, and other partners) to align on priorities and forge meaningful partnerships - to maximize the firm\'s collective impact in serving and growing the client base.
Actively work with LOB Leaders to raise awareness among Relationship Managers and Payments Advisors of the Bank\'s enterprise risk strategy to ensure Key is not exposed to unacceptable levels of risk with new and existing clients.
