Wallace to replace West as GM of Grizzlies
Chris Wallace will replace Jerry West as new general manager and vice president of basketball operations for the Memphis Grizzlies. Wallace, former general manager of the Boston Celtics, will join forces with the team's new coach, Marc Iavaroni, in rebuilding Memphis after the team's poor showing last season. Wallace had been associated with Boston since 1997 as general manager. He has experience working for Miami Heat as director of player personnel, and has also served Portland, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver, and the New York Knicks.
Two high-profile executives join Tishman
Tishman Construction Corporation (TCC) has recruited John Krush and James Raved to its core management team. John Krush, who will now take over as executive vice president of TCC (and its affiliate, Tishman Technologies Corporation), earlier served Trammell Crow/CB Richard Ellis as principal and senior managing director. The Tishman Technologies Corporation is known for its competency in mission-critical facilities. James Raved was formerly employed with Bear, Stearns, & Co. for nearly eight years, and will now take over as the senior vice president of TCC. Headquartered in New York, TCC is one of the nation's most active builders, providing privately-held construction manager, owner's representative, and project manager services.
Bailey to take charge of Tri Counties Bank's retail division
Daniel Bailey is all set to take over the reins of Tri Counties (CA) Bank's retail banking division. In his new position as the executive vice president of retail banking, Bailey will be responsible for looking after the overall operations of the retail management team, advising on policy aspects, and catering to the business development needs and staffing requirements of the bank, including performance appraisals, salary administration, and even other administrative nitty-gritties. The bank hopes to leverage on Bailey's experience in matters concerning strategic planning. Prior to his new posting, Bailey was associated with Wells Fargo Bank as senior vice president and regional initiatives manager. Under Bailey's supervision, Tri Counties Bank will open its 13th branch mid-June inside the new Wal-Mart Supercenter in West Sacramento.
Sierra View appoints new vice president for business operations
Kennan Bridge is the newly appointed vice president of business operations at general contractor Sierra View. In his new capacity, Bridge's role at Sierra View would involve laying the roadmap of company's growth strategy and planning. The new president will also handle responsibilities in finance, marketing, administration, and human resources. With total of 15 years of senior management experience behind him, of which eight years were spent at Pride Industries Bridge as vice president of marketing and chief operating officer, Bridge's new focus area at Sierra View will include bringing new perspectives and vision to the organization. Prior to this, Bridge ran a consultancy group wherein he was involved in charting out growth strategies for several companies—Sierra View among them.
Kabateck is new executive
The California wing of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has recently announced John Kabateck as its new executive director. In his newly assigned role, Kabateck will anchor all NFIB-California activities, which would encompass member services, sales staff, and legislative advocacy. He has acted as director of external affairs under Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for the past year. Prior to this, Kabateck was associated with the California Restaurant Association as vice president for recruitment and placement, and then as senior legislative director. The NFIB state public policy director Steve Woods described Kabateck's appointment as a big catch for the organization.
