Ranch Manager Jobs description
The ranch manager manages the farm regarding to raising, harvesting, packing, and marketing farm products for corporations, cooperatives, and other owners. The ranch manager analyzes market conditions to determine land allocations. The ranch manager negotiates with bank officials to obtain credit from bank. He also purchases farm machinery and equipment and supplies, for example tractors, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. The ranch manager hires and discharges personnel. He also prepares financial and other management reports and supervises office personnel engaged in preparing payrolls and keeping records. He also pays visits orchards and fields to inspect and estimate maturity dates of crops and potential crop damage due to harsh weather conditions. The ranch manager confers with purchasers, and determines when and under what conditions to sell crops, marine life, or forest products. The ranch manager may also be designated according to type of crop.The ranch manager job candidate should have ample experience in managing farm hands, and also should be adept in managing ranches according to seasons.
