Newspaper Mailroom Manager Jobs description
The newspaper mailroom manager supervises mailroom employees and handles other tasks related to portfolio. The newspaper mailroom manager prepares label lists, shipping documents and setup or program automated newspaper-processing equipment. He also operates high-speed labelers, stackers and other mailroom equipment, monitors and maintains operation of bundle-processing lines. The newspaper mailroom corrects error bundles and ensures newspapers are directed into proper trucks. The newspaper mailroom manager also helps minimize waste and press downtime by monitoring equipment and processes to identify and correct operating problems. He also understands and is familiar with the normal order of dispatches and other methodology including top wraps that are used to identify sequence or otherwise track individual or bundled newspapers.The newspaper mailroom manager job candidate must be a journeyman mailer with profound experience in mailing letters, mails, or couriers. He should be adept in sorting out discrepancies in the mailing addresses.
