Humana is rapidly evolving from an insurance company with elements of health to a healthcare company with elements of insurance. We are embarking on an ambitious journey to implement a new Member Administration Platform and further our evolution towards a customer-centric operating model. As a member of the Member Administration Platform team you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our customers. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization but also a focus on business functionality and culture and operations - to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, agile ways of working & Agile methodologies, DevOps, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our customers and our associates.

Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Product Management leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s) and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates. This is a remote role, however, if you live outside of the Louisville, Kentucky area, you will be required to travel to the Louisville Waterside office (101 E. Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202) on a quarterly basis to attend in-person meetings based on business need.

Responsibilities:


As part of the Enrollment Product leadership team, the Associate Director for Enrollment modernization will play a key role in maturing Humana's enrollment experience in support of advancing the company's health first priorities.
The person in this role will create the enrollment vision of meeting where the customers are and solving their needs in simplest seamless enrollment experiences.
A successful leader will be centered on the needs of Humana's members by partnering with Digital channel, Sales channel, Operations, Compliance, Technology and Business leaders.
This role will lead a set of cross-functional, agile product teams to activate against each aspect of roadmap and strategy for the enrollment blending technical knowledge, enterprise product experience, and demonstrated ability to distill complexity into experiences that truly meet customer needs.
Ability to navigate both strategic and tactical business, design and engineering challenges seamlessly and will serve as a key partner across the product organization with a diverse set of internal stakeholders.
This role will be a strong advocate for the end user by developing deep understanding of their needs through customer and user feedback and research.
Establish KPIs and Objective and Key Results for the product team and ensure alignment with senior leadership.


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in technology
Minimum 7 years of technical experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a role with product management, platforms, and strategic planning
Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle from inception to execution to launch to scale
Ability to test strong hypothesis through A/B tests and continuous assessments of member and user behavior and insights through dashboards and analytics
Strong understanding of the digital platform ecosystem, health care, and awareness of new innovations and changing customer habits
Ability to leverage customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance, and risk data to define product features and roadmap in partnership with other Subject Matter Experts
Strong analytic, organization and problem-solving skills enabling sound decision making
Experience with cloud-based customer experience and ability to manage large platforms
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Experience with influencing and leading leaders driving high performing team(s)
Demonstrated success of driving results through Objective and Key Results management
Strong understanding of business strategy and demonstrating delivery of strategy
Enthusiasm, positive bend, and self-motivation is essential; a confident change-agent
Strong presentation skills both oral and written


Work-At-Home Requirements


At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information


Preferred Qualifications


MBA or relevant master's degree in technology or data space
Work experience in cloud data platforms, enrollment, analytics, and customer journey
Work experience in a health care and /or insurance industry
Technology expert with experience leading technology teams and managing vendor relationships


Covid-19 Vaccine Policy

According to Humana's COVID-19 policy, vaccination and masking is required regardless of vaccination status (with exception for eating and drinking) for associates working in a clinical setting where patients receive care (e.g., pharmacy retail locations, clinics, home care). The policy only requires the primary series alone (first and second vaccine). Boosters are encouraged, but not required. Associates have the option to request an accommodation for medical, religious, or other personal needs.
