Clinton Library Director
The Town of Clinton and the Brown Memorial Library Trustees are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, innovative Director to lead its community into the future.
Educational requirements
: A Master's degree in library science from a credited college or university is strongly preferred. A Bachelor's degree plus substantial work experience in a management position at a public library may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.
Summary of responsibilities
: The Director administers, develops, and oversees all aspects of library operation, including personnel selection, supervision, and evaluation of the staff. Collection development and maintenance, policies and procedures and community relations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a thorough working knowledge of modern library policies, practices, technologies and trends, strong people and task management skills are essential.
This is a regular, (32 hour a week) position and includes paid time off.
