The Administrative Secretary provides office support to the Director of Social Services, along with other members of the management staff as assigned by the Director.
The Administrative Secretary assures work related issues are addressed in a cordial and efficient manner.
She/he coordinates the daily activities of the Director of Social Services, scheduling, report writing/data collection, and conducts all special projects independently as assigned.
The work environment has a high degree of visibility to patients, staff and visitors throughout the hospital.
In addition to the job-related competencies listed below, the employee must possess the core competencies of self-management, reflective practice, collaboration, systems thinking, initiative and flexibility.
Perform any duties and/or responsibilities assigned by the Director of Social Services.
Mature individual with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Office Administration or the equivalent in demonstrated work experience (at least two years).
Must be able to work effectively within a team environment, and with excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be able to organize office functions, manage multiple projects, and work both independently and under the direction of the Administrator.
Must present an appearance and attitude appropriate to a healthcare setting.
Must respect patient and personnel confidentiality.
