Description
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional establishes and implements IT contingent labor solutions, policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with IT goals and objectives. The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
*This position will require the candidate to be onsite in Louisville, KY once the Humana facility re-opens.
Responsibilities
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional investigates available IT contingent labor suppliers; evaluates and recommends vendors based on user requirements. Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select, and negotiate with IT contingent labor suppliers in order to purchase the appropriate services at the lowest cost. Reviews contracts to ensure that service levels and deliverables are met. Oversees the information technology vendor relationship between IT leaders and contingent labor suppliers and delivery of outsourced services. Supports the information technology function, evaluates vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management. Directs the life-cycle activities for existing contracts. Identifies new services solutions and works closely with internal business partners to forecast future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business objectives. Drives the strategy and selection of vendors. Coordinates the negotiation and execution of contracts with the Legal and Contracts departments. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated vendor relationship experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience working with IT contingent labor suppliers
Ability to manage multiple projects while assigning the proper priority levels to each task
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with IT contingent labor suppliers in a global model
Experience working as a Relationship Manager
5 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project management experience
Additional Information
Will report to IT Vendor Management Lead, IT Ops - IT Strategic Governance and Process
This position requires associates to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
