The E-Commerce Digital Marketing Director
will lead within the E-Commerce Digital Marketing Team
and is responsible for the operational strategy, planning, execution, analysis, and overall promotional effectiveness of BestBuy.com digital marketing vehicles and programs. The director brings enterprise initiatives to life on BestBuy.com and focuses on experiences that target all customers, loyalty customers (My **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and future membership), and personalized relationships. This leader is focused on driving customer engagement conversions using analytics to make data driven decisions and provides these results with cross-functional partners to influence and make better informed decisions. This leader develops and presents strategic recommendations to VP and Senior Director level leaders within Marketing and Category Management and ensures there is alignment between Marketing and the Digital & Technology organization when driving customer experience enhancements. This leader works cross-functionally with multiple partners including E-Commerce Channel Management, Category Management, Digital & Technology Teams, Retail Operations, Category Marketing, Brand Marketing, A/B testing, Finance, Digital Intelligence & Optimization, and Media Network.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Digital & Technology to drive tool development and digital enhancements that support online initiatives and refine processes
Influence and negotiate with Sr. leadership within Marketing, E-com., and Category Management teams for all events
Manage all E-com. events including holiday, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. promotional and vendor partner driven promotions which includes developing e-commerce strategy to deliver on brand marketing holiday requirements, end to end operational plans, and analysis of event performance and future opportunities to drive event optimization
Build holistic personalization strategy that aligns with technology roadmap including Audience Management, Content Strategy, and technology asset capabilities to bring personalized customer experience to life online
Provide visibility to Digital & Technology teams on gaps that may exist within the customer experience and drive to prioritize enhancements within the Product team roadmaps
Provide back-up support to Sr. Director by having functional understanding of all online experiences inclusive of holiday campaigns, global home page, personalization, membership & loyalty, targeted marketing experiences, branded **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. credit card, gift cards and online sales
Partner with the Digital & Technology and Product XD teams to influence change upstream based on data and results within campaign, home page, personalization, online sales, and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. App experiences
Partner with the Brand Marketing team to influence, provide feedback and E-com. solutions for campaign and sale opportunities and enhancements
Partner with the E-Com. Channel Management team on issues that impact site-wide experiences and influence process changes where needed
Report to partners on best practices across global experiences and make recommendations on business opportunities, customer experiences and site functionality that ultimately drive customer engagement and conversion
Work with cross-functional partners to drive optimization such as marketing optimization efforts, COPE, reduce waste and increase efficiency
Business and Industry Expertise:
Develops business acumen to better drive enhanced customer
experiences that improve engagement and ultimately conversion.
Own and manage all aspects of Global Home Page including enhancement strategy, all communication to partners and leadership related to GHP, offer and reaction management, analysis and sharing of results, influence change pertaining to offer space and technology, and evolution of messaging that is focused to all moving to messaging and offers targeted to the consumer.
Advocates for business needs and technical development with Digital Organization to improve customer experience and meet marketing and business objectives.
Proactively works with Marketing Managers & Directors, E-Commerce Category Managers and Directors, Digital Content Managers and Directors and key stakeholders to understand the business priorities and determines how to best leverage creative content to achieve those goals.
Facilitates deep dive analysis on e-commerce experiences and utilizes data to drive change, make recommendations and influence decisions being made by executives within merchant and marketing organizations.
Utilizes analytics
and reporting to evaluate performance across experiences and provide recommendations on low/no value work.
Builds collaborative partnerships with and influences Marketing leadership, business leadership and cross-functional partners, and demonstrates e-commerce, marketing, and business expertise.
Drive best practice sharing with teams.

Development of team and talent management with a focus on building bench strength.
Eliminates barriers and roadblocks to deliver outcomes for team.
Ensure collaboration and consistency across teams and into departments throughout broader Enterprise through sharing best practices and key learnings.
Basic Qualifications:
10 years directly and indirectly leading teams
12 years of E-Commerce, Marketing, retail and/or industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
7 years influencing and managing through cross-functional disciplines
Strong technical acumen
5 years developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive business goals and budget expectations
Proven track record successfully leading and delivering best-in-class e-commerce experiences or marketing programs, with solid e-commerce business acumen
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, or comparable
