The Distribution Operations Team will ensure our field partners have the necessary tools and resources to perform at an optimum level. This role will specifically specialize in support of Delivery Distribution Centers (DDCs).
• Lead and support the field to drive accountability and accuracy across all processes within the building
• Responsible for support to inquiries and triage issues through SOP, Best Practice, consistent operational processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross functional teams
The Associate Manager provides direct or indirect functional leadership to a field and corporate partners that support Distribution Operations.
• This position will partner with cross functional teams to influence and recommend solutions to network and enterprise operational issues from field leadership teams, retail and service partners
• Provides line level management to functional teams that influence and recommend solutions to identify root cause analysis and improved SOP and process development for the field teams
• Responsible for decisions that affect network operations
• Partners with all levels of field leadership and corporate functional leaders to ensure consistency in inventory and/or customer order processes (Home Delivery) across buildings that drive efficiencies, and close operational gaps
• Partners with various Corporate support leaders, including; Fulfilment, Transportation, Demand Planning, Order Management, Reverse Supply Chain, Services and Retail Operations, to ensure the network has the processes needed to operate in a lean, efficient manner
Key Responsibilities
• Partners with operational leaders from distribution field teams to identify and provide short term and long term solutions for operational issues.
• Manage multiple operational processes or projects periodically.
• Provides direction and leadership to specialists and cross functional partners to identify and solve/facilitate ongoing network issues.
• Leads or executes mid (Cross functional) to medium level (SC Impact) projects impacting Supply Chain Operations.
• Makes decision and signs off on requirements.
•Works with team to develop training to support projects and processes.
Basic Requirements:
• 4 or more years of Supply Chain, Retail, Demand Planning, Merchandising or Inventory Management work experience
• Intermediate technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point, Visio, WMS)
• Red Prairie WMS experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1 or more years of distribution center experience
