What’s the role?

In this role you will join Shell Bitumen’s international team of Marketing Specialists and closely collaborate with the local sales and logistics organisation as well as overall business development. You will be responsible for all marketing activities of shell Bitumen in the DACH cluster, central/eastern Europe and the Nordics (including 2 business travels per month).

Being at the heart of internal and external business relations you will have the opportunity to develop a strategic vision for Shell Bitumen marketing activation initiatives, offering cleaner bitumen solutions to our customers.

Your key activities in this role are:


Marketing: Development of differentiated offer (CVP) through market insights and well-defined project plans for soft and commercial launch incl. customer testing and media planning
Advocacy: Articulation of long-term ambitions through local engagements/conferences and publication of editorials/case studies on premium and sustainable portfolio
Sustainability: Promotion of bundled offers tailored to societal needs like air quality and recycling opportunities with special focus on premium product growth and new product launches (like Bitumen FreshAir.

What we need from you

As this role offers a wide variety of strategic communications and senior stakeholder management, we are looking for an experienced B2B marketer with a commercial mind-set to help our business grow. Therefore, the following skill-set will help you to succeed in the application as well as on the job:


Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in commercial or technical discipline
Work experience in B2B marketing; sales and business development experience are a plus
Proven track record of managing diverse stakeholders, e.g. customers, media agencies, local authorities etc.
Strong analytical skills incl. Excel tools for financial and sales monitoring
Fluency in German and English language (B2 level)
Being a self-starter, prioritising workstreams according to potential business impact
