The Project Manager’s role is to manage the development and implementation of critical technology projects as well as support ongoing MAC Core Research Technology operations. Most project resources will be from MAC Core Technology team and some will be through partnership with other UCSF entities, and/or via 3rd party vendors/contractors, thus communications skills and a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries is crucial. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe Project Manager provides “go to” leadership and manages the scope, timing and delivery of small to large scale projects to achieve the MAC’s organizational goals and benefits to MAC researchers and stakeholders. u003cbr/u003eThe Project Manager provides key support throughout the project lifecycle, tracking tasks, milestones, and resources, managing risk to timelines escalating to leadership when appropriate. The MAC provides clinical care for patients suffering from neurodegenerative disease processes; from this clinical population, external referrals, and direct recruitment efforts we enroll patients into more than 50 structured research protocols and/or treatment trials. We are a California Alzheimer’s Research Center and a federal Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMAC is the largest division within the Department of Neurology. The Department of Neurology is a teaching, research and clinical care unit within the School of Medicine (SOM). The Department of Neurology is a large, multi-site department, with locations including Mission Bay, Parnassus, Mt. Zion, Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the Gladstone Institutes and is affiliated with the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences.
