What you will do-

You will be responsible for expertly influencing an assigned group of Global Quality & Operations (GQO) EHS programs. You will maintain regional compliance with commonly recognized national and international EHS governing bodies and regularly communicate all EHS compliance and improvement initiatives to assigned Division Manufacturing Leaders (DML). This is an individual contributor position reporting directly to the Director, Environmental Health and Safety, GQO.

Additional responsibilities:


Analyze, implement and monitor company safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environment, health and safety regulations
Maintain safety equipment inventory, perform periodic safety audits, monitor hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous waste (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical)
Interact with a variety of departments and conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling
Monitor environmental compliance and maintain liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies
Recommend corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist
Interact with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions

What you need-


Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; master’s degree -preferred
10 years of applicable experience required
8 years of experience leading an EHS program/organization required
Ability to build trusting relationships with mid and senior-level leaders required
Experience managing external contractors and leading cross functional teams required
Proven ability to lead projects to successful outcome (budget, time, scope) required
Ability to influence behavior and facilitate decision making throughout the organization in support of achieving project and program objectives required
Experience with public speaking and presenting complex risk data/information to senior executives or manufacturing representatives required
Experience communicating training initiatives designed to foster a positive and proactive EHS culture required
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) -highly preferred
Proficient in budget line-item management -preferred
Proficient in data analytic tools including Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI, EXCEL) -preferred
