Chemicals and Products is going through a major transformation with the Energy Transition and this role gives you the opportunity to develop a winning global Sustainability Marketing Strategy across the whole Shell Chemicals and Products portfolio and make a huge positive impact on the bottom line. Shell has announced ambitious targets to reduce carbon emissions as well as provide circular and renewable solutions to our Chemicals customers and this role will pivotal in their delivery.

As the Global Sustainability Marketing Manager, you would have to lead the Commercial teams to define the culture, ways of working and tools needed to deliver the unrivaled customer experience re sustainability.

As the global leader for Sustainability Marketing, you will be accountable for the positioning of all sustainability programs both internally and externally. This includes creating and owning the naming-branding conventions, internal/external communications strategy, identifying most profitable channels for regional delivery, product positioning for maximum value capture and creation of the Customer Value Proposition amongst other items. This role will work with external companies, the regional commercial teams, chemicals team, communication teams as well as the wider Shell Brand. You will be responsible to develop a new brand for Chemicals and Products Sustainable products.

More specifically your role will include:


Own the short to long term commercial strategy – in terms of place, promotion, price and product mix.
Indirectly lead the commercial team to deliver the marketing strategy.
Lead the full global brand and commercial product launch upon startup of the different sustainability initiatives.
Lead the development and execution of the external and internal communication strategy.
Own the commercial part of investment proposals required to achieve our ambition
Engage customers/consumer about market developments to understand their sustainability needs.


Skills & Requirements

What we need from you –


Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer


You will inspire people to make changes that will have a direct impact on our license to operate and financial results, you would need:


At least ten (10) years of experience in Extensive Marketing Experience across different cultures
In depth experience in business transformation, business development, coach management in a multinational company.
Demonstrated Change Management Skills particularly in terms of cultural shift.

At least a Bachelor’s Degree.
Ability to translate a complex landscape to a Coherent story line tied to Customer Value propositions (CVPs) which drive value
Proven ability to influence
Significant commercial acumen
High motivated leader with proven communication skills
Inspiring virtual team member and transformational leader of community
Demonstrate innovative strategic thinking.
