Industrial Distributor Supply Chain Director
Requirements:
Must have a four-year degree - Master's degree preferred

A minimum of ten years domestic and international distribution, logistics planning and inventory management experience

Industry background - Distribution in a large industrial company
-----------Must work for a Large Industrial Distributor - not a Manufacturer-------------



Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Division Head you will diversify the primary target market into new markets such as MRO safety products, Agriculture, Steel

You oversee Materials and Purchasing (app $150 MM) and app $40 MM in Inventory

You will help drive details of the supply chain strategy to meet company performance objectives and customer expectations

You will develop and lead a high-performance team and champion materials managements and supply chain processes that drive profit.

You build partnerships with suppliers addressing incentive programs, cost savings, performance service, continuous planning, forecasting, and replenishment

You direct inventory practices and results ensuring:

Supplier Quality

Costing

Inventory Turns

SKUs to include item Master Metrics
You negotiate all procurement aspects of indirect materials, products, and freight

Analyze business practices for continuous improvement

Meet deadlines in a high-volume environment

Develop reporting and analytics

Create solutions to repetitive exceptions that drive cost and hinder service
Foster best practice while still overseeing day to day operational and process management - involving:

Compliance

Expedient flow of materials and products

Timely and auditable processing

Automated/Simplified business processes

Compliance handling of order fulfillment distribution

Item Master/SKU management

Transportation

Logistics
Establish SOPs to drive all supply chain activities

You foster end to end solutions from supplier through warehousing, transportation, electronic commerce, and systemic decision making to ensure optimal product, information, and cash flow.
