Summary
Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) team is looking to add a Specialist focused on Executive Branch affairs, events and eminence. The leadership team is looking to grow their eminence within the Executive Branch and strategically position our leaders in the White House and Washington, DC marketplace.

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services Industry includes nearly 15,000 practitioners, providing consulting, risk and financial advisory services to 47 states, cabinet-level agencies in the US government as well as at higher education and non-profit organizations. Responsibilities include
In this role, you will be assisting GPS leaders in driving and supporting priority market development initiatives related to the execution of the GPS Executive Branch strategy.
Work will be project based with multiple projects occurring in parallel
Team is looking for a highly skilled Specialist with a background in event coordination and communications
Role will monitor external events and eminence opportunities, as well as organize meetings, conferences and events for internal and external partners
Ideal candidate will evaluate external events to make recommendations on what our leaders should attend. They will also manage communications with attendees and speakers
Ideal candidate will also bring a creative, business-driven mindset and desire to help create lasting relationships with key political appointees and industry influencers
Strategy
Collaborates with sector leadership and operations team in identifying and helping drive market growth opportunities
Provides support to GPS team on key practice initiatives
Creates and maintains project support materials
Coordinates with multiple stakeholders to offer support and service, in order to meet project objectives and expectations
Fosters collaboration across businesses for initiatives by engaging the right practice leaders at the right time
Manages logistics and communications for eminence events
Analytics and Reporting
Provide analytical, strategic and operational support for priority projects
Monitor and analyze market trends to provide insights to leadership and marketing in support of strategic planning
Follow up with the key contacts on selected opportunities to verify data, seek further information on opportunities
Respond to ad hoc leadership requests – providing data and customized reports as needed
Collaboration with teams
Works with various teams to share and build upon best practices and provides recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement
Supports industry and sector leadership in communication, community building, industry insights, knowledge sharing and learning as needed
Ensures open communications and quick and accurate responses to leadership requests as needed
Presentation and materials development
Supports the development of leadership presentations
Presentation review and design
Follows market trends and updates leadership
Qualifications include
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 1 year of directly related experience
Marketing, event planning/coordination and eminence experience in the Federal/GPS arena, specifically the Executive Branch
Project management experience and ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management and government
Ability to be creative and innovative
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated success performing in a large matrixed organization
Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Experience working with the White House or the Executive Branch of Federal Government
Candidate must bring strategic business acumen to identify and/or make the events effective, cost-efficient and memorable
Experience with executive level leaders, the White House, Cabinet Secretary or coordination with other cabinet level offices
Travel up to 15% (while travel of up to 15% is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
