SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing the production and delivery of high-quality feed to Cobb Vantress Growers while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This requires keeping a daily ingredient inventory for Cobb Vantress and FDA Compliance, obtaining daily driver reports to ensure DOT Compliance and managing team members in Production, Housekeeping and Preventative Maintenance. Other responsibilities include coordinating production schedules, ingredient ordering, feed recovery scheduling, preventive maintenance parts ordering and keeping within tolerances on parts and ingredient inventories. This position is responsible to utilize continuous improvement tools and methods to maximize crumble and pellet quality, production rates on feed manufactured, tons per load hauled and delivery turn times. This position must lead the safety culture, provide adequate training, and effectively communicate with the team to address any opportunities within the mill and trucking. This position is also responsible to take the lead on customer concerns related to feed quality, feed deliveries and feed recovery. This position must manage the operation according to budget, develop capital plans, including the preparation of capital requests. This position must keep in close communication with their manager to drive key metric improvements and perform other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education : Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a related Agriculture Business or equivalent management experience.

Experience: Must have 4 plus years’ experience in feed mill and feed delivery management. Must have a valid driver s license and have a good driving record in accordance with Tyson Fleet Safety Manual.

Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills such as generating letters spreadsheets or creating queries.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills

Supervisory: Will supervise a team of hourly positions.

Travel: Minimal domestic trips.

Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities Team Member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatchery Biosecurity Standards
