Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.
What will I be doing?
As Senior Manager, HAFS Global Compliance, you will be responsible for promoting a strong control environment through testing of controls and recommending control improvements. You will build and manage collaborative partnerships to maintain and optimize control standards.
More specifically, you will:
Lead assurance testing for controls executed within our global HAFS CoE and SSC locations, including hotel and corporate entities
Promote a strong control environment by recommending process improvements and control activities that maximize use of technology, mitigate risk, and reduces potential for fraud and financial reporting errors
Analyze data across multiple systems to identify trends and focus compliance testing on higher-risk activities, while leveraging technology to increase sampling rates where possible
Act as escalation point for property, Ops, CoE, and SSC team members for control issues and drive collaboration across relevant teams to resolve and support training where required
Support special projects, technology initiatives, and transitions to ensure compliance to control standards
Hire, supervise, and evaluate Compliance team members and build competence through training, mentoring, and best practice sharing.
Support the HAFS strategic vision and culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, recognition, and customer focus.

Strong business writing and communication skills
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
Seven (7) years of professional accounting experience
Two (2) years of supervisory experience
Solid understanding of SOX controls and internal controls
Ability to negotiate solutions in a matrix environment with a geographically dispersed team
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Education: MA/MS Master's Degree
Experience with internal or external auditing
CPA, CGMA, or similar license
