This begins with the opportunity assessment with the attorney (go/no-go decision).u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for undertaking national/firm wide projects as assigned, according to ability and capacity.u0026nbsp; This will include acting as lead for several practice groups or industries (i.e., Healthcare Industry Initiative).u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for coordinating public relations activities (work closely with the Director of Public Relations and Communications and outside PR Firm) to create media opportunities, provide proactive ideas to enhance the strategic market positioning and messaging of respective practice, industry and geographic market(s) including drafting local press releases, developing contacts with local media and pitching articles to relevant publications.u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for helping attorneys prepare for business development presentations including preparing reports such as company research, industry trend, competitive intelligence and recommending appropriate collateral and any other relevant materials.u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for providing coordination, direction and oversight for regional seminars and conference sponsorships. Develop and implement high-level partnering relationships with professional organizations, industry associations and educational institutions to identify leadership positions, speaking and conference presentation opportunities and sources of referral for attorneys.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Serves as the information resource for the markets they support and proactively seek information from others within the marketing department.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for providing MBD department orientations for new attorneys and staff -- giving an overview of the department roles and responsibilities, a walk-through intranet and various collateral materials.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for overseeing the enhancement of regional input into the Firmu0026rsquo;s database to ensure that the centralized database is current and meets the needs of firm.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for providing input into the development of firm marketing materials and ensure that offices within the region have the necessary client development materials available to them.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for utilizing the expertise of firm corporate staff in a consultative and collaborative manner.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Serves as the liaison between Corporate Marketing u0026amp; Business Development team and attorneys.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Responsible for providing relevant content for the firmu0026rsquo;s intranet and internet websites including marketplace.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Perform such other/additional duties as may from time to time be assigned.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eTECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work successfully with attorneys, clients, staff, community and vendors.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow the instruction effectively from a diverse group of attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact. Ability to represent the firm in a favorable and businesslike manner.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026bull; Individual should be a proactive, independent thinker whom is action-oriented and sensitive to both local market needs and overall Firm direction.
