Responsibilities
The Manager, Release Management Engineering manages cross-organizational collaboration required to introduce applications and infrastructure changes into the production environment. The Manager, Release Management Engineering works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.
Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of User Acceptance Testing of changes made to the pharmacy claim logic for Humana Pharmacy Solutions business
Responsible for leading, developing and mentoring a team of release management engineers.
Partner and work closely with pharmacy claim processing vendor and Humana business areas to ensure software quality meets standards and expectations.
Devise and drive quality improvements to current testing processes in collaboration with HPS business, IT, and Humana vendors.
Identify and mitigate potential risks, review and track the applicable performance metrics related to the product quality.
Reports progress and status on key initiatives and issues to leadership. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for initiatives involving quality of claim processing software.
Operate in a fast-paced environment to accommodate Humana and other global change requests to the pharmacy claim processing logic.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
6 or more years of project and/or release management experience
2 or more years of management experience
Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge and practice
Excellent communication skills, leadership competencies, and high level of emotional intelligence
Experience in working in multi-team environment
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or good familiarity with the Agile methodologies
