The Branch Manager has the responsibility to grow revenue and profitability of the branch. This individual leads and directs the successful operations within a branch, making it a priority to recruit and develop staff members to exceed client and field talent expectations. In addition, the Branch Manager performs sales, business development and customer relationship management activities to existing and prospective clients. The Branch Manager is expected to build loyal relationships with of the branch portfolio of clients and top talent. It is also imperative for this individual to ensure the daily habit of collaborating with all Volt divisions to execute on the One Volt strategy.
Essential Responsibility:
Business Development Efforts
Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new, reactivated and existing customers
Drive diversification of business by skill set, size of customer and service offering
Expand growth of existing clients through collaboration with cross brands
Personally direct the sales and delivery efforts of staff as well as make personal sales contributions such as lead generation, drive direct hire business, conversion, and RPO business
Operational Efforts
Provide effective leadership through motivation and staff development by mentoring, training and promoting staff
Contribute to branch operations by interviewing candidates and filling orders (recruiting)
Oversee day-to-day operation and function of internal staff in relation to business functions
Manage the activity and effectiveness of all direct reports through activity and results KPIs
Initiate daily communication with recruiting staff relative to customer service priorities and business opportunities
Leadership Efforts
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop branch staff in an effort to create strong team members that contribute to the success and growth of the branch
Monitor customer satisfaction and satisfaction of field employees with our service
Monitor, supervise and participate in branch recruiting plan to continually bring in new candidates in order to meet current and future customer needs
Maintain responsibility for the branch's Profit & Loss (P&L); coordinate expenses and variable overhead items; prepare and work with an annual budget
Manage payroll, database, collection and accounts/payable functions effectively
Complete or oversee daily, weekly and monthly reporting, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
Interface with Volt corporate departments on payroll, billing and aging functions; work with corporate departments to actively manage and reduce DSO
Handle general Human Resources functions such as compensation, wage and salary, fair employment practices and other regulations regarding employment including performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations of in-house employees
Qualifications & Required Skills
4 years' experience in a client service environment
4 years' sourcing or recruiting experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in comparable field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Effectively communicate in writing and verbally including by telephone and in-person with internal staff, external customers and field employees
A proven and profitable track record in management and/or sales management or customer service management in a related field or industry
Ability to guide, direct and motivate others
Critical thinking and ability to take initiative
Ability to make sound business decisions under pressure
