YOUR NEW COMPANY
Our client a packaging conglomerate with operations across Ireland & the UK company are currently looking to recruit a Plant Manager to manage two medium sized plants in Cavan & Dublin (40 people across both plants)
As Plant Manager your remit will be to manage the operations of both sites, ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and costs are kept within budget.
You will also work closely with other managers to develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
Both sites manufacture sustainable cardboard boxes and as Plant Manager you will be responsible for all activities on the manufacturing sites including sales and the P & L.
You'll be joining a large organisation with lots of opportunity and my client are very open to considering people from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds as long as you have the relevant ops/plant mgt experience needed.
YOUR NEW PLANT MANAGER JOB
As Plant Manager some of the key elements of your new role will include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of both factories, including production scheduling, Stock management, and quality control.
Managing the selection, development & reviews of your team
Manage and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff to ensure that targets are met, and quality standards are maintained.
Development & management responsibility of P&L
Manage Engineering Staff & production of maintenance and CAPEX budgets & spend.
Develop and implement production strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Work with other managers to develop and implement strategies to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity using the lean process.
Monitor and analyse production data to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
Manage relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, cost analysis, and other metrics to senior management.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
My client is looking for a strong Ops/Plant Manager with a background in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field and 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
You'll have strong leadership/management skills, a proven track record of delivering results, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
You'll be comfortable with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
