SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the various aspects of Material Handling operations. This position must have knowledge of the following: warehousing and receiving product; performing product and ingredient recalls; managing finished inventories and addressing any variances; reviewing all hold product and disposition accordingly; managing the loading unloading of trucks; communicating with carriers when necessary; completing work orders and monitoring their progress. Other duties include: holding safety culture and training following the Tyson values providing forklift training; overseeing the new hire training program for warehouse; ensuring the proper administration of personnel policies and regulations; performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses.
Experience: Must have 3 or more years of experience as a people manager.
Computer Skills: Requires DLX/ JDA, Fresh Meats Systems, Excel Access spread sheets enter data into document templates and create simple queries.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and leadership traits required.
Special Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
Travel: 1-2 trips per year.
