Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director Patient Outreach and Financial Sponsorship PSJH to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.
We are seeking a Director Patient Outreach and Financial Sponsorship PSJH who will report directly to the Executive Director, Patient Financial Advocates and Financial Assistance. Oversees and be accountable to manage relations with key stakeholders and organizations across the enterprise. The primary responsibility is to maintain a leadership/advocate role in partnering with chief executives, finance, revenue cycle, population health, case management, community based organizations, and education stakeholders to effectively align our strategic and tactical goals to create a healthier community, obtain sponsorship and reimbursement, improve access to care and community engagement and relations. The leader will provide direct strategic support to the Patient Financial Advocate and Financial Assistance leadership and team. Special projects as assigned.
Promote health equity, social justice and direct efforts to eliminate health disparities.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee strategic program planning for patient outreach, financial sponsorship, Revenue Cycle Health Equity initiatives and education programs in support of the Financial Counseling and Financial Assistance team.
Builds strategic relationships and alliances with executives, other healthcare providers and community groups having similar interests.
Build and contribute to information briefings, develop presentations, and manage dissemination of information to key stakeholders in the organization and within the community about programs, initiatives, mission, vision and values.
Maintaining a robust program for sponsorship and health equity initiatives and keeping internal and external customers informed on key issues impacting programs outcomes.
Ensure a robust stakeholders environment by making presentations, convening informational meetings and distributing pertinent information to all organizations as appropriate.
Oversee strategic program planning, annual objectives, goals and initiatives.
Direct the data gathering and reporting of the enterprise sponsorship and health equity strategies to comply with the Federal, State and system wide requirements.
Design Feedback loop with internal customers to support the continuous improvement of stakeholder engagement activities. Works with accountable leads on performance metrics.
Work in partnership on the development of programs and maximize awareness of initiatives and opportunity for collaboration throughout the enterprise.
Promote, sustain, and evaluate community engagement and outreach projects, programs, initiatives, and events
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Program Management, Human Services, Social Work or Case Management
8 years, a minimum of 6 years of Senior Leadership experience is required.
10 or more years Broad experience and knowledge regarding state and federal benefits and programs, preferably across multiple states
10 or more years Experience in Healthcare and/or Revenue Cycle program Management
Demonstrated analytical skills
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Ability to inspire and develop staff
Demonstrated project management skills
Effective leadership skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
