Name.com is hiring a Product Manager to work closely with business stakeholders across the company to ensure that business requirements are met in software engineering and marketing projects. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a deadlinedriven, results oriented, fastpaced team environment. This is a position for someone who is able to take initiative and get things done with little direction and almost no industry guidelines. Great product managers excel at finding feasible solutions to problems that often seem unsolvable.
Key duties include:
Requirements gathering – The Product Manager is responsible for defining and documenting product requirements from various internal and external stakeholders. This includes creating product launch plans that internal teams can use as a guideline, working with other staff to make sure that all requirements are in place prior to product launch, tracking new product/project progress postlaunch to make sure that expected objectives are being met, and devising plans to bring product objectives back in line in future iterations if necessary.
Optimization and Testing - This position owns all landing page testing and optimization. The Product Manager will work with the frontend engineering team to concept and deploy ideas to optimize landing pages. Additionally, the Product Manager tracks and reports on landing page click through rate, bounce rate, conversion rate, exit paths, user demographics, etc.
Analysis & Reporting – the Product Manager is responsible for performing business intelligence analysis and generating custom ad hoc reports to meet business needs. Candidates with a robust knowledge of SQL are strongly preferred. Proficiency with MS Excel Pivot Tables is required. This position provides key analysis on product performance. Strong mathematical and statistical skills and the ability to mine and summarize large subsets of data are critical.
Project Management – Product Managers inevitably end up tracking project progress and making sure that deliverables are completed on time and to specifications to ensure highquality rollouts with as few bugs or unexpected behaviors as possible. Ideal candidates will be able to project manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of product requirements and investigate, prioritize, and track bugs related to projects.
