Position will report into the GPS - BCM Department directly. This position will be responsible for BCM program execution for both commercial and development organizations in GPS to ensure that systems and programs support the requirements of BCM in full alignment to corporate BCM directives and policies. The incumbent will integrate the process across both CTDO and GMO organizations to ensure successful management of overall BCM program throughout the lifecycle of a brand.
Summary:
Process stewardship and ad-hoc operational support of product operations, including commercial brands and products entering pre-commercialization phase through Development. Supports team in completing end to end risk assessments, business impact analysis, recovery planning, training, plan testing and BCM program maintenance.
Develops metrics and scorecards for profile for risks to the business. Ensure that BCP gaps are identified and remediation plans are developed with financial trade-off options unless risk exception justified and approved.
Supports and/or leads processes that support Resiliency and BCM governance requirements as part of the enterprise operational risk framework (as assigned). Reviews and advises on BCM risk impact as part of governance including product reviews and other strategy decisions including product or network Sourcing decisions or strategic inventory requirements.
Leads the annual business continuity exercises for defined operations.
Integrate BCM with senior management in all lines of business and coordinate business continuity governance activities. Operationalize BCM to ensure that BCM principles are integrated into business processes, thinking and day to day operations
Ensure the systems and tools of BCM are understood and approved by the appreciate level of management, and when needed identify and elevate risk to the department head to ensure proper visibility.
Contribute to establishing and maintaining BCM program processes and practices which effectively ensure that the enterprise program remains current, and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements.
Ensures appropriate integration of BCM requirements and information obtained from various sources and ensures compliance through periodic auditing of operational BCPs.
Participates as independent business continuity professional in support of various other initiatives to be determined by objectives the GMS BCM Department.
Participates in external business continuity management organizations and keep abreast of industry best practices and trends.
Provide 24/7 event management on-call support to GMS business operations to support flow of communication.
EDUCATION
B.S. or BA in Natural Science (Chemistry, pharmacy, biology, chemical engineering or a related pharmaceutical science).
Master Business Administration or advanced science degree preferred.
OE green or black belt certification (desired)
Expected/willingness to achieve: Industry certification in one or more of the following: APICS, BCI, DRII, PMI, ARM
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience with business process management and governance frameworks and knowledge of Business Process improvement methods, best practices and protocols.
5- 8 years of knowledge and expertise of the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology unit product lifecycle management, manufacturing, supply chain
3-5 years of knowledge and expertise in Risk Management practices and risk related controls.
2-3 years site based leadership experience in manufacturing preferred including participation on Emergency Response and Crisis Management teams
The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of business continuity management and governance frameworks, business continuity best practices, and resilience methods. Experience with international BCM standards by NFPA, BCI and DRII, and ISO preferred
A strong understanding of Operational risk and resilience, as well as risk related control practices.
Capability to align business partners around risk mitigation approach including manufacturing sites, product leaders, external suppliers/CMOs, finance, research & development, commercial operations.
Strong and demonstrated strategic & analytical thinking with advanced project management capabilities and ability to focus on execution of strategic decisions while balancing conflicting priorities
Demonstrated ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals & objectives.
Highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a cross regional/market matrix global environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable and delivering on commitments. Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team player.

Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.
