The distribution area manager provides daily leadership to **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Regional Distribution Center (RDC), Delivery Distribution Center (DDC), Metro E-Commerce Center (MEC), Delivery Pad (DP), or Reverse Logistics Center (RLC) employees by identifying and coordinating daily activities for the efficient receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise to stores, warehouses, online customers, home delivery customers and/or other reserve channels. Using behavior-based coaching and feedback, this person works to ensure that the team achieves the desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety and quality. They collaborate across departments to create a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement that supports our company values.

Key Responsibilities
Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs.
Responsible for hiring, coaching and performance management of an hourly staff.
Provides tactical direction for an hourly workforce responsible for the receipt, documentation, and shipment of all merchandise to store, shuttle and home locations.
Provides direction through proper performance planning, delegation of assignments, and development of teams.
Partners internally with peers and leadership to meet building productivity, safety, and quality goals and partners externally to fulfill customer needs.
Facilitates change and sets objectives for warehouse operations to create an environment of continuous improvement.
Establishes and maintains a positive work environment through recognition, training, and coaching of employees to follow our values and our guiding behaviors.
Maintains an environment where employees' diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
Opens avenues to give feedback and provide input on operational, policy, and cultural aspects of the workplace.
Actively participates in special projects, company initiatives, community building events, and other leadership duties as apparent or assigned. Planning, organization, and follow-up are essential to success.
Provides work direction, leadership, and training to employees within a specific department of a distribution center.
Basic Qualifications
2 years of experience in Distribution, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Service, military leadership experience or related fields
2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in Business, military leadership experience or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree or higher in Business, Logistics or related fields
