Summary of Role
As a Director within our Communication and Change Management practice, you will lead the development and execution of strategies and related deliverables that support large-scale changes and HR programs (including the employee experience, Total Rewards, organization transformation, the future of work, well-being, benefits and culture). You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance to client organizations, leadership and project delivery teams, retaining existing business and developing new business.
Role Priorities
To be effective in this role, you will need strong business acumen along with confidence to interact with senior executives, lead groups and serve as a trusted advisor. Comfort navigating ambiguity and uncertainty, organized thinking and communication skills, and a willingness to engage in both strategic design and tactical implementation are also critical to success in this position. Key elements of the role:
Sell, develop and implement custom communication and change management strategies and programs for a broad range of HR programs, largely focused on talent and rewards elements (e.g., employee experience, Total Rewards, organization transformation, the future of work, AI, wellbeing and culture)
Partner with colleagues across the Talent line of business to sell and deliver integrated advice, data and software that help clients hire, build, engage and lead the talent they need to win
Oversee translation of complex concepts into compelling and engaging communications across various media, including print and digital, with an eye towards cutting-edge solutions and data integration
Demonstrate effective sales leadership behaviors, including team collaboration, creativity, compelling RFP writing, persistent follow-up, sound judgment in scoping/pricing, and focusing on closing the deal
Build relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams to maximize the penetration of key target accounts
Deliver profitable revenue to the business through individual sales and billable hours goals
Balance high-value strategic delivery with effective delegation, while enforcing budget, timeline and quality standards
Contribute to the development of intellectual capital, new tools and approaches
Qualifications
7-10 years communication or marketing experience. Consulting experience is preferred; experience working for traditional HR consulting firms or benefit brokerage firms or is a plus
Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
An executive presence with polished and well-developed facilitation, written, web and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise
Experience working with graphic designers to craft the “look and feel” of the communication platform
Track record of success in building and maintaining client relationships, leading teams and generating revenue (global experience preferred)
Experience managing concurrent, multi-dimensional projects and people on time and within budget
Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
Ability to draw conclusions from data in a logical, systematic way
Understanding of agile principles and design thinking
Availability to travel on an as-needed basis
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferable) in liberal arts, graphic design, business or technology
