Job Description:

The position will support strategic projects under the Head of Engineering to help drive operational cadence, uncover business insights, support execution and innovation, drive Objectives & Key Results, lead all of Engineering Business Operations, Release Program Management and Engineering Enablement (combination of backgrounds in program management, business operations, technical & leadership training, and process engineering).
Additionally, the role is responsible for Engineering budget management and will be the primary interface with Finance and Human Resource Business Partners.
Responsibilities:
Be a thought partner to Head of Engineering to help devise functional strategy
Drive highly visible, strategic projects in Engineering that are imperative to the company’s growth and
longer-term
goals
Contribute to critical projects involving different engineering functions, aimed at answering critical problems, execution, and growth initiatives
Develop deep know how and understanding of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s engineering organization
Drive the definition, measurement and tracking of cross-functional initiatives that are critical to Engineering operational efficiency
Present and communicate recommendations to senior leaders & stakeholders for strategic decision making and investments
Bring people together from across the organization to align and deliver on a common vision
Solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are escalated to the Head of Engineering.
Help cultivate a positive culture and drive high employee engagement.
Manage and drive Engineering staff activities, accountability and prioritize Getting Stuff Done (GSD).
Drive Engineering rhythm of the business; Facilitate the operational cadence of various teams to drive business momentum and structure across Engineering Leadership, Management, and all engineers (example: Leadership Meetings, Staff, All Hands, QBR/MBR preparation, location strategy and organizational design discussions)
Manage org wide communication cadence and mechanisms
Own the Annual Operating Plan, headcount, and budget management to ensure meeting fiscal responsibilities
Participate in portfolio management with the Chief of Staff of the CEO.
Coordinate People and Talent Programs with HR Business Partners.
Continually work to improve cross-functional process effectiveness and efficiency especially with Human Resources, Finance, Facilities (workplace) and other
Corporate
functions.
Oversee large cross-functional initiatives. Bring together multiple stakeholders and help drive outcomes for east west alignment.
Facilitate creation of Engineering Objectives (OKRs), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Results (KR).
Ensure Company level goals are being communicated and translated to Engineering team level.
Create systems and processes to streamline operations.
Support research, benchmarking, analyzing data, and make recommendations

15 years of being in a leadership position in Business Operations, Program Management combined with some form of business process engineering
5 years of people management
Experience with organizational change management and transformation
Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the business strategy
Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment in which resources may not be under your direct control
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
Ability to travel to locations around the globe
Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Preferred
Master's degree or MBA
Operational Excellence or Center of Excellence team leadership experience
