Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Responsible for the execution of IT risk and compliance-related tasks for new and existing GE Enterprise processes and events impacting the business organization;
• Review current and new regulatory requirements for impact to the GE Enterprise IT environment;
• Work with GE teammates and external parties to ensure audit management tasks, such as control requirements and evidence gathering, are completed;
• Partner with internal stakeholders in an advisory role in proposing process improvements for IT Risk and Compliance areas;
• Review IT policies and standards for improvement opportunities and alignment on relevant regulatory and risk framework requirements; and
• Communicate project results by presenting status updates to management and preparing draft reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Governance, IT Risk, IT Audit, IT Operations or related fields, preferably with Fortune 100 companies or Big 4 assurance organizations
Desired Characteristics:
• Assists in the design, development, and maintenance of IT policies and procedures
• Evaluate and incorporate new audit requirements impacting GE Enterprise
• Effectively communicate audit requirements and risk to internal stakeholders
• Industry-recognized security certification(s), such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, CISSP, etc.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity and technology risk requirements and practices
• Knowledge of or experience in Agile methodology and concepts
• Working knowledge of risk and control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ISO, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements (SOX, HIPAA, CMMC, PCI, FISMA, etc.)
• Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require driving solutions
• Ability to handle multiple demands and tasks, able to prioritize workload
• Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed organization
• Ability to collect input from multiple stakeholders to incorporate complex business and technical requirements
• Creative thinking with strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills – ability to appropriately communicate across technical and management audiences
