SUMMARY

Bering Straits Information Technology, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Program Manager in Washington, DC. This position will provide comprehensive Program Management (PM) support to provide the necessary framework, process optimization, coordination, and governance to ensure the success of the contract. Responsible to establish program plans, structures, processes, schedules, reporting requirements, communication channels, and quality control functions. Responsible for all contractor personnel and ensure that program SLAs are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

Ensure alignment of activities with program goals and objectives, promoting operational efficiencies, avoiding schedule and resource collisions, and providing government management visibility into ongoing efforts and resource usage

Provide a central point of communication and issue management for critical production issues, planned and unplanned outages, and transition issues

Generate Quarterly Activity Reports

Develop project charters, plans, project timelines, and project schedules

Implement and coordinate project management policies, practices, and procedures

Track and report designated metrics for the Office and subordinate Divisions

Monitor, review, and assist with project plan development within the Office and subordinate Divisions

Develop performance reports quarterly for the Office

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Ten (10) years of experience in leading an effort of similar size, scope and complexity.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Previous experience supporting DOS highly desirable

Excellent customer interface, coordination, and organizational skills

Experience with MS SharePoint highly desirable

CMMI experience is highly desirable

Must be comfortable with MS Office tools

Must effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with management and peers

Ability to demonstrate independent judgment and the flexibility to accurately coordinate multiple projects

Microsoft Office Products

Preferred

Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent

Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical agility test (PAT) and annually thereafter as prescribed by the government.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hires and supervises direct reports.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
