Legal Director – Commercial Property, Bristol
We are seeking an experienced senior Commercial Property lawyer to join our successful and highly regarded Real Estate team, with a blend of office and home working available based around client and business need. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious and capable senior lawyer to play a key role in the delivery of our growth strategy for Commercial Property in the business.
What you'll do
In this challenging and varied role, you will play a crucial role in growing and developing the Commercial Property, and wider Real Estate team. Based from our Bristol office, you will be leading on matters directly whilst supervising junior members (who may be based elsewhere), and sharing work across the region in collaboration with the wider commercial property team. Your focus will be to deliver exceptional client service, working with colleagues to strengthen the skills needed at each level to ensure our clients receive all the support they need, when they need it. As part of our growth strategy for Real Estate, you will be actively involved in recruiting and retaining your team, supporting their development and ensuring they enhance their technical skills over time.
You will be working with Richard Sutton, John Catchpole and the wider team to advise our clients on Commercial Property transactions, and you will be adept at handling large and complex commercial property matters with a variety of clients, ensuring work is being done at the right level and with client service central to everything you do. Our clients range from developers to entrepreneurs and you will be experienced in developing strong and effective relationships, offering commercially relevant and practical advice from the outset.
What we're looking for
With extensive recent experience working at a senior level within a commercial property team, you will be seeking to take the next step in your career, where you can enhance your profile and create new and lasting connections with clients. We're seeking someone who is personally self motivated and equally able to motivate others, with the enthusiasm and commitment to share knowledge and build capacity across the wider team. In your current work, you will be a strong business developer, able to engage with new clients whilst expanding existing relationships as a trusted business advisor. You do this by readily understanding the commercial context of your clients and appreciate the importance of supporting them with relevant advice at the right moment. You will have already worked hard to begin building your profile in the region, and are positive and active in engaging with a variety of business development opportunities within the region's commercial property network.
You will possess strong communication and rapport building skills, with the resilience to work under pressure by organising yourself effectively to meet deadlines as needed. Being tenacious, thorough and attentive to detail whilst appreciating the 'bigger picture' for your clients, you take pride in the high standards of your work.
