Profile

We have a tremendous opportunity to join our Category Advisor Team supporting Walmart’s Fresh Meats business. This position is responsible for providing decision support, analytics, and business recommendations that drive sales and profitability growth across for the entire category. Key deliverables are developing and presenting insights around category and shopper needs, distribution, share, assortment, merchandising, shelving and promotional opportunities. The incumbent will be able to utilize sales and shopper data from multiple sources, (ex. IRI, Nielsen, and Walmart’s Retail Link), along with custom Tyson Foods Category Leadership Insights resources, to develop category specific recommendations and solutions that drive business performance. The ideal candidate will be a solution provider with strong merchandising capabilities and experience managing Walmart’s Modular Development process for a category. An ability to manage and lead cross-functional Team Members is essential.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage, work with, and interpret complex data sets and/or inputs

Experience and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5 years of experience in retail analytics, category management, or space planning

Knowledge and experience analyzing and reporting from syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Spectra)

Experience using Walmart’s Retail Link or other business intelligence tools such as Atlas, E2Open, RSi, Shiloh is preferred

Computer Skills: Strong Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Solid customer influence and presentation skills required

Strong analytical and technical aptitude with demonstrated capacity to process raw data to relevant, actionable insights.

2-4 trips annually
