Learn more about Splunk careers and how you can become a part of our journey!Role:The Director, DEI Partnerships & Governance will create, lead, manage and implement DEI strategies for DEI partners and communities of practice, including reinvigorating existing Employee Resource Groups (ERG), Splunk’s global DEI council and governance strategy, and external DEI partnership strategies.Responsibilities:Refine and implement strategy and roadmap for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and DEI Councils in service of global DEI and Social Impact strategy with an emphasis on advancing belonging, enabling talent development and growth, and driving business and community impact.Develop appropriate governance strategy and structures to enable ERG and DEI Council success (inclusive of executive sponsor development and engagement, ERG/DEI Council leadership roles, ERG/Council interaction models and horizontal integration, and linkages to existing corporate governance structures as appropriate to drive awareness and accountability).Serve as champion, mentor and supporter for ERG leaders, providing guidance, resources, funding and connections to enable strategic plan.Design and deploy strategies that build and enhance leadership capabilities of ERG and Council leaders and members.Set measurable goals for ERGs and Councils in aggregate and track performance against success metrics, support ERGs/Councils to define metrics individually.Partner with People Organization to ensure ERG and Council leadership roles are planned and recognized as part of talent development and to build ERG and Council programming that supports and leverages talent development strategy.Partner with Talent Acquisition to engage ERGs in support of recruitment goals and activities, including URG sourcing, acquisition and onboarding.Partner with Talent / Learning & Leadership organization to identify and build relevant professional development opportunities for ERG and Council leaders and members.Bring expertise in project management methodology and processes, including influencing, communicating, and managing key stakeholders.Partner with Social Impact to drive ERG/Council action against Social Impact programs and to build ERG-relevant community engagement initiatives.Develop and manage effective meeting cadences with ERG and Council leadersManage ERG & Council operations and budgets.Support ERGs to identify and build external partnerships that advance ERG strategy and objectivesDevelop, host and lead DEI events and experiences (external speakers, etc) in partnership with Comms and ERG / Council leaders to drive awareness, dialogue and action planning among all employees.Requirements:Basic Qualifications:5 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)Preferred Qualifications:10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhDProfessional HR/DEI/Employee Engagement experience in a corporate environment, with specific experience leading Employee Resource Groups and/or DEI communities (Councils, etc)Experience managing, motivating and developing a teamGlobal mindset, with experience leading global initiatives or working in multiple countriesExceptional project/program management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion in a fast-paced environmentWe value diversity at our company.
