As the Sr. Group Leader, M&S Plan and Delivery Manager, you will manage

a team of modellers and develop, lead, manage, and deliver Modelling & Simulation tools as established in the annual plan. You’ll work closely with Digital Leads to capture the priorities of R&D sub-functions and guide them in quantifying the relevant benefits associated with each request. Along with these responsibilities, you will establish methods to inform resource allocation, KPI tracking, and progress throughout the year. If projects on the plan are at risk, you will flag and suitably mitigate these risks using appropriate escalation when necessary. Finally, you will work with the appropriate leadership teams to raise the profile of modelling and simulation tools

How you will contribute

You will:

• Manage a team of technical experts, including modellers and data scientists of various disciplines: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Discrete Element Method (DEM), Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), etc.

• Deliver models into R&D sub-functions, ensuring proper validation, user experience, and technical handover has been completed

• Define resource needs based on the work requested and timings for delivery

• Identify internal or external resources options for capacity augmentation

• Compile the total business-oriented value for the plan and explain to business managers

• Interface with Digital Leads and CoE to define and prioritize models on the plan

• Communicate program-level reporting and status updates against plans/roadmap including risk assessments

• Liaise with Accolade team to integrate M&S work into project and resource management system

• Place the right resources in the right positions to deliver valued output

• Contribute toward building an effective R&D Governance Process

• Build and maintain working relationships with external vendors

What you need to know about this position:

What extra ingredients you will bring:

This role will manage a team of about 8 technical individuals and deliver the annual M&S plan, consisting of around 50 individual project requests.

Education / Certifications:

A BS in a technical field, including Mechanical/Packaging/Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Physics, Biology, Computer Science, etc.

Job specific requirements:

Minimum of 10 yrs. experience in R&D program manager roles within the consumer products and related industry, with demonstrated application of digital tools and models
