Description

The Manager, Quality Engineering carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The Manager, Quality Engineering works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Quality Engineering performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers. Performs complex work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

6 or more years of technical experience

2 or more years of management experience

Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree
