Job Purpose/Summary:

This position is responsible for the design, development and delivery of strategic learning and development programs in support of the IT business and talent strategy. This includes overall program management for the IT internship program, IT University Recruiting Strategy, IT University Recruiting Relationships with Core Universities and leadership of all IT recruiting teams who visit universities at career fairs and for interviewing. This role works closely with HR, IT VPs as the executive sponsor at each core university, and IT lead recruiters to ensure program effectiveness. In addition, this role works closely with each core university to build relationships and drive talent acquisition strategies with the senior leaders in the university. This role requires cross functional collaboration and engagement with all levels of the IT organization to both educate on the programs and benefits while also identifying ongoing areas of focus and opportunity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leader of this program will strategically work to enhance and optimize the program in support of key talent strategy objectives. This will be a key initial focus with optimization and continuous improvement always at the forefront.

Leader will focus on improving our intern to recent college graduate conversion rates, establishing relationships at core universities, improve the quality of talent acquired, and improve Internship Program and learning experiences.

Leadership, networking and collaboration skills will be key to building appropriate relationships within the IT organization, at Universities, and with HR Recruiting to drive overall effectiveness and meet IT Program Objectives.

Develop and implement IT Intern programs that not only focus on IT, but also incorporate key Tyson Foods differentiators into program design and delivery. Identify areas where we can leverage the Tyson Talent Culture COE for development and delivery of learning programs.

Manage the annual program lifecycle and launch continuous improvement and re-invention each year.

Use technology industry best practices, external networking and advanced learning methods to deliver innovative programs and tools.

Guide and coordinate rotations and learning for the Intern programs. Facilitate select content as needed and coach trainers and business leaders on delivery.

Establish key metrics to evaluate ROI and program effectiveness.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

5 plus years relevant experience in IT

3 years experience running immersive learning experiences for Interns and/or Recent College Graduates, preferred in the area of IT.

3 years experience working with universities and building University Relationships to acquire top talent.

Computer Skills: Advanced MS Office skills; ability to use variety of technology platforms to facilitate learning

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills both in person and virtually.

Comfortable influencing all levels of the organization including senior management

Special Skills:

High sense of urgency and self-starter who is resourceful and capable of evaluating business situations and rapidly establishing action plans.

High energy leader who is engaging and interactive with presentation delivery and daily interaction with team members and interns

Leader of behavioral change and transformational initiatives who leads with why and inspires action

Proven experience in conceptualizing, defining and leading large scale programs across a matrix organization.

Experience measuring and communicating the value of learning and ROI.

Team player with strong collaboration skills.

Demonstrates creativity and ability to drive innovative, interactive solutions.

Strong organizational and planning skills

Supervisory: Yes, for Summer Interns. Coaching skills are key.

Travel: Willingness to travel at various times throughout the year to universities for recruiting and networking and to Tyson plants for learning experiences
