Finance Manager Jobs description
A finance manager oversees the preparation of financial reports, directs investment activities, implements cash management strategies, and plays an important role in mergers, consolidations, and in global expansion and related financing. These areas require extensive knowledge and specialized skills to reduce risks and maximize profit. The finance manager's job involves the analysis of available data to offer senior managers ideas on how to maximize profits. The typical duties of a finance manager are: reviewing, preparing and leading annual budget, financial statements, periodic forecasts etc; performing variance analysis and account reconciliations; mentoring or coordinating with financial analysts, research analysts and accounting personnel. The finance manager might also have to develop dynamic financial models and driving strategic analyses.The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar qualification may be advantageous. Familiarity with GAAP, SEC reporting, and/or SOX requirements is a must. Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions and due diligence projects is essential.
