Store Manager Jobs

Store managers manage store personnel and in-store operations; achieve sales, service, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals; and ensure that store operations are in line with organizational values. They also define and communicate policies and strategies for store growth, guide the recruitment and training of store personnel, analyze reports and identify new strategies to reduce operating costs and increase profits. They consistently report sales and inventory information to staff and senior management. Store managers are typically expected to meet and exceed store revenue targets. They are often responsible for visual merchandising/ presentation and operational standards as well. The in store manager jobs mentor and delegate authority directly to team leaders, assistant store managers, and customer service managers and indirectly to retail executives, sales executives, clerks, sales associates, and customer service associates. The store manager also ensures that optimal inventory levels are maintained in the store. He also contributes to the strategic management of his or her organization by providing store information or customer demographics.

Applicants for store manager jobs are often required to have bachelor\'s degrees and usually must have some supervisory experience in a retail selling environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
