Job Description

IBM is seeking a Product Manager for a new Claims Modernization Services and Asset offering. Recently launched, this leadership position requires a deep understanding of the Healthcare PBM (Prescription Benefit Management) and/or Payer Claims processing with surrounding operations upstream and downstream. The candidate will leverage their expert business knowledge to improve, define and target key components of the modernization solution. The end-to-end offering will modernize client legacy claims processes leveraging resources from the IBM Practices and Partners. This position will report directly to the Healthcare Business Sales and Delivery Executive, partnering with the IBM teams required to bring the modernization best practices together and make them easily consumable. The product offering will educate and enable clients to make informed decisions on the type of modernization required and develop an implementation roadmap to match their goals, timeline and budgets. This role will manage the product delivery cycle from idea identification/enhancement, solution creation, team building, solution design and development, packaging and marketing. This is a great opportunity to bring a new offering to the marketplace leveraging the best of IBM and our partners.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with clients. Travel to client sites may be required, up to 4 days per week. Expected travel about 75% of your scheduled time, remaining work time can be either remote or at one of the IBM offices. Preferred candidates will live within a 50-mile radius of a major airport.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Healthcare business and application experience with PBM (Prescription Benefit Management) and Payer organizations with knowledge of Claim Systems (Pre-adjudication, Adjudication, Post-adjudication) and the operations they support

Experience in the modernization and transformation of legacy applications (Cloud, Platforms, Languages, Databases, DevOps, TestOps, Infrastructure, Bridging old and new, etc)

Experience with the Product Development Lifecycle; idea development, scope definition, skill identification, team building, solution design and development, packaging and marketing

Experience working with and presenting to clients

Project Management experience; Agile, develop timeline and project plan, tracking progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues, manage change control (impact assessments), budget forecasting and reporting, manage resources/assignments, estimations and ETC, status reports and dashboard, slide deck creation, presentation skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Experience or understanding of application and database transformation tools

Technical background/understanding is preferred
