This position is the highest on-site level of Facility Management leadership and is responsible for organizing, directing, and overseeing the day to day plant operations activities for a single hospital, related clinics and other facilities. May oversee clinics, medical office buildings and other non-hospital real estate. Manages and has personnel management responsibilities for working Supervisor I roles and/or crews and/or other related sub-departments of facilities management. May represent the Facility Manager to Administration as required. Responsibilities may include; Plant Operations, Environmental Safety, Security, Construction and other duties as assigned.
This position may include any combination of the following scope of responsibility:
Responsible for a single Critical Access hospital where the Manager is non-resident
Responsible for non-hospital properties (clinics, medical office buildings, etc.)
Responsible for multiple trade Supervisor I’s or multiple crews','!*!Job Requirements / Qualifications
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree or Technical Degree required with an emphasis on Business, Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction preferred.
Certification as CHFM required within 3 years of hire.
Combination of equivalent education & experience may be considered.
Experience (required and preferred):
Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital maintenance/medical equipment operations management with 2- 3 years of progressive supervisory experience required.
Construction experience preferred.
Must demonstrate financial and operational management skills.
Blue print reading, building codes, N.F.P.A.,.O.S.H.A., Joint Commission EOC requirements, policy and procedure development and implementation. Five years in healthcare management, construction management, plant operations management, or medical equipment management.
Progressive management experience (may have served in lead position or acted in absence of management.)
